Interior architecture design firm Wilson Associates has appointed Roy Posey as design director for its studio in Dubai, as the firm looks to expand its Middle East-based design team.

With more than 15 years of design experience, Posey will oversee the studio’s design initiatives, projects, conceptualisation, and staffing processes. Additionally, he will also represent the Dubai studio at industry events in and around the emirate.

In his previous leadership roles, Posey was associated with international interior design firms including Keane as the head of design, Hirsch Bedner Associates in Dubai, and the Honest Group.

His experience spans projects that worked on restaurant and bar interior spaces, as well as residential interiors. Posey has also worked on projects involving designing guest rooms and public spaces.

Posey said in a statement: “I’ve recognised Wilson Associates as a world-class, luxury hospitality interior architectural design firm for many years.

He added: “I am grateful to have joined such a creative design team and look forward to furthering our reach in the region.”

In his current role, the design director is now working on hospitality projects including Westin Hotel Ras Al Khaimah; Pai Thai, a Thai restaurant within the Al Qasr Hotel in Dubai; and a large hotel on The Island development in Dubai.
