UAE’s SRTI Park, Chinese companies explore partnership

UAE’s Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) has collaborated with a Chinese delegation to explore the launch of a partnerships programmes aimed at boosting technology transfer between the park and Chinese research and development organisations.

As part of the collaboration, the delegation aims to find out investment opportunities for Chinese investors operating in technological sectors and the field of research and development.

The move aims at developing the relations between the park and the Chinese business community and bolstering economic cooperation, UAE's state-held news agency, Wam, reported

During their visit, chief executive officer of SRTI Park, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, briefed the delegation about SRTI Park’s advantages and the services it offers to investors. 

Earlier, the park had inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the China Arab International Technology Transfer Company as part of the Belt and Road Initiative. 

The park has also collaborated with international research centres including Finland's Advanced Technology Research Centre and Oulu University, as well as SAB and Oxford Scientific Innovations, a subsidiary of Oxford University Innovation.
