Barriere's Fouquet's to open at Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2020
The museum's restaurant area is designed by Jean Nouvel with modular compartments, chandeliers by Mobilier National
French hospitality firm Barrière Group is set to open its brasserie-style restaurant, Fouquet’s, at Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2020, with the partnership aimed at converting the museum’s existing restaurant area which has been designed by Jean Nouvel.
Director of Louvre Abu Dhabi, Manuel Rabaté, said in a statement: “Abu Dhabi is known for its collaborations with some of the world’s premier brands and this prestigious new partnership with Barrière Group is yet another fine example.”
He added: “With the opening of Fouquet’s at Louvre Abu Dhabi next year, the museum continues to bring unique and exceptional experiences to Saadiyat Island.”
Fouquet’s has branches in Paris, Cannes, Toulouse, Marrakech and other locations across the globe. This will mark the brand's first Abu Dhabi-based branch.
The existing restaurant area of the museum is made up of Arabic patterns-driven modular compartments and features chandeliers manufactured by Mobilier National.
Once open, the restaurant’s menu will be created in collaboration with head chef and owner of Pierre Gagnaire Restaurants, chef Pierre Gagnaire.
