The Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has expanded its footprint in Saudi Arabia in partnership with Rikaz Properties for the opening of its fourth hotel property in Al Khobar, which set to be operational by January 2021.

The move is part of IHG’s strategy to expand its presence in Saudi Arabia following the signing of two Holiday Inn properties in Madinah and Jeddah earlier this year.

Commenting on the opening of the 140-unit Holiday Inn Al Khobar King Fahd Road, managing director for the Middle East, India and Africa at IHG, Pascal Gauvin, said: “We have a strong legacy in the kingdom and are committed to leveraging the growth opportunities that Vision 2030 presents by expanding our presence across the country through our portfolio of global brands.

He added: “We are growing our presence in key cities and gearing up to cater to the needs of diverse guest profiles expected to visit the country in the coming years.”
