CW Awards 2019: Infrastructure Project of the Year shortlist revealed

Ten projects from across the GCC have made the shortlist for the 2019 Construction Week Awards on the 4 December

The shortlisted nominees for the Infrastructure Project of the Year category at the 2019 Construction Week Awards have been confirmed.

The Infrastructure Project of the Year accolade will go to the project that makes an important contribution to its surroundings; demonstrates best practices among the construction industry and how construction techniques and technology have contributed to the project’s success.

The shortlist comprises ASGC, who were involved with improving the existing facilities at Dubai International Airport concourses, as well as constructing a new building, which will serve as arrival and departure halls for airplanes not connected with the concourse.

The second shortlisted company is Kier Construction, who were named the main contractor for the Bluewater’s Island infrastructure project in Dubai, while Aurecon Engineering International Pty Ltd have also made the list for its part in the Bridge Maintenance Management System in the UAE.

Hill International has also made the shortlist for the contract award of the Emirates Real Estate Corp (Erec) Building 35, while Aecom were also nominated for its involvement in the Jebel Ali Sewage Treatment Plant.

Khatib & Alami have also been nominated for the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Wastewater Treatment and Sludge Management project in Saudi Arabia and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Saudi Arabia LLC have been credited for the construction of the 380KV double circuit overhead transmission line in KSA.

China Construction have also been nominated for completing construction works on the Parellel Roads project in Dubai and Ramboll for its involvement in the Hindu Mandir and Spiritual Centre project in Abu Dhabi.

Larsen & Toubro (Oman) have also been shortlisted for the honour at the CW Awards 2019 to be held on 4 December at JW Marriott Marquis, Dubai.
