Atkins, a British consulting services company of SNC-Lavalin group, has appointed Edward McIntosh as its regional design director for the Middle East.

McIntosh has more than 16 years’ experience leading international architectural design teams and projects in South America, UK, China and South East Asia.

Some of his career highlights include working at Populous in London for six years where he led the design of more than two dozen arena, stadia and sports masterplan projects.

He also led the Grimshaw’s South East Asia design team focusing on retail, hospitality, workplace, and sports projects.

Commenting on McIntosh’s appointment, Atkins Middle East & Africa’s managing director for design and engineering, Adrian Lindon, said: “Bringing a wealth of experience in design and architecture, McIntosh will play a key role in supporting our business strategy focused on delivering high quality services to our clients across the region, as well as driving growth opportunities in key markets.”
