Expo 2020 Dubai’s Saudi Arabia pavilion to recruit 1,000 students
Partnering with Emirates Foundation, successful applicants will work in the Saudi Arabia Pavilion for the duration of Expo 2020
UAE-based Emirates Foundation has teamed up with Expo 2020 Dubai’s Saudi Arabia pavilion to offer 1,000 KSA students the chance to volunteer at the country structure.
The recruitment drive was implemented by a workshop held between presidents of Saudi students’ clubs and students in seven Emirati universities.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work inside the pavilion throughout the duration of Expo 2020 - October 2020 – April 2021.
Interested students will undergo a research-based selection process, including personal data validation, a pre-assessment interview and a skills assessment.
Once they progress from this stage, the students will receive training for specific positions based on their skill sets and, upon completion, be awarded at a graduation ceremony.
Voicing his support for the initiative, commission general and project manager for the Saudi Arabia Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Dr Fahad bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Yabis, said: “The campaign will help us to identify and nurture the finest young talents that Saudi Arabia has to offer.”
He added: “Volunteering is an essential component of our strategy as it aims to highlight and hone volunteers’ capabilities, enrich their practical skills, unleash their creativity and energy in a way that enhances the image of the kingdom and its youth.”
