Khidmah started the year on a strong digital note with the launch of a ‘FM Connect’ app to enhance service delivery by optimising task allocation and ensuring timely service.
Speaking about its focus on adopting technologies, Al Wahedi says that Khidmah focuses its energies towards "adopting cost-effective innovative tech solutions that help in increasing efficiencies."
The start of the year also saw the commencement of Al Wahedi's association with the firm as its chief executive officer.
Al Wahedi ensured the firm's digital foray with 'FM Connect'; secured a sustainability milestone - LEED platinum certification by the USGBC - for Khidmah; and more recently, stepped up its sanitisation efforts by offering discounted disinfection and sanitisation services for homes and businesses across Abu Dhabi, as part of ALDAR Properties' recently-launched $27.2m support package.
Stating that he has "big sustainability and tech plans" for Khidmah for the year, Al Wahedi says: "In terms of sustainability, Khidmah is already carrying out measures such as waste collection and disposal, and installation of recycling bins across multiple locations.
The year is about growth and business expansion for Khidmah. We have big plans in terms of tech adoption and integration to add value to our services. Speaking about expansion, we are eyeing the UAE and GCC, with a major focus on the Saudi Arabia market, which - we have identified - has a lot of potential."
