Aramco plans refinery to boost Ras Tanura

State-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco, is expected to build a new oil refinery at Ras Tanura, with a processing capacity of up to 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Arabian heavy crude.

State-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco, is expected to build a new oil refinery at Ras Tanura, with a processing capacity of up to 400,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Arabian heavy crude.

The project is expected to cost between US $7 billion (SR26.2 billion) and $8 billion to construct. Saudi Aramco already has a 550,000 bpd oil refinery in Ras Tanura.
