Philips and Accor extend partnership
Philips to supply televisions to Accor properties around the world
International hotel chain, Accor, has extended its global TV supply partnership with Philips for a further three years.
Philips has supplied its dedicated range of hotel televisions to Accor properties around the world since 2006. The value of the agreement, which comes into effect in January 2011, was not disclosed.
“We focus our innovation on creating the very best picture and sound experience, and this agreement reinforces our leadership in TV – today, and for the future,” said Robert Smits, general manager, television, Philips Consumer Lifestyle.
“We’re also at the forefront of delivering energy efficient televisions, enabling customers such as Accor to make significant savings over each television’s lifetime.”
Accor operates 4,100 hotels in 90 countries through its Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Suite Novotel, Mercure, Adagio, ibis, all seasons, Etap hotel, Formule 1, hotelF1, Motel6, Thalassa sea & spa and Lenôtre brands.
“Across our portfolio of hotels we want to make it easy for our guests to bring their own content and enjoy it in their rooms, as well as to find their favourite TV channels away from home. Philips’ TVs deliver on these needs,” said Christophe Causero, technology procurement director, Accor. “By providing a comprehensive service designed around our needs, Philips enables us to focus on our guests.”
Philips recently introduced a new range of TVs to the hospitality industry. It incorporates three ranges of hotel televisions, including the EasySuite range, the PrimeSuite range and the Signature range.
