DSI joins up with Zamil to double KSA projects
DSI set for rapid expansion in Saudi Arabia over next six months
MEP giant Drake & Scull International (DSI) has announced a partnership with the family-owned Zamil Group in Saudi Arabia.
The venture, Drake & Scull International Saudi, is part of DSI’s plan to double its existing SR1.3 billion-worth of projects in the Kingdom in the next six months.
Speaking about the move at a press conference in Saudi Arabia yesterday, DSI CEO Khaldoun Tabari said: “This partnership will contribute significantly to expanding both DSI’s business portfolio and geographical reach.
“We strongly believe that with Al-Zamil’s strong presence and leading position in the Kingdom, we will create a stronger and diverse company while generating additional opportunities for sustainable business growth and increased shareholder value."
Currently DSI’s projects in the Kingdom include the King Abdullah University For Science and Technology (KAUST) in Jeddah, a hospital project in Tabarjal and the Princess Noura bint AbdulRahman University for Women in Riyadh.
Saudi Arabia is one of DSIs key markets alongside Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, Thailand and Libya.
The Zamil Group meanwhile is a global investment firm based in Saudi, with a presence in the industrial, petrochemical, commercial and consumer markets.
Commenting on partnership, chairman of the board Abdulrahman Al-Zamil said: “The partnership demonstrates our commitment to serving our home market and places our companies in a position to meet growing mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for today and well into the future."
