Saudi Industrial Property Authority, or Modon, has signed contracts to implement the first infrastructure projects of Taif Industrial City, which involve developing an area of three million square meters, Saudi-based Al Riyadh Daily has reported.

These projects include road construction works and providing electricity supply and lighting, the paper said, adding that Modon expects the first phase of the project to accommodate 150 factories.

Modon called upon businessmen and investors to apply for the acquisition of industrial plots of land and to be informed of investment opportunities in support services in the new industrial city.

Taif Industrial City, which covers an area of 11 million square meters, is the first industrial city in the Taif province.

Modon is currently overseeing 18 existing industrial cities in different regions of Saudi Arabia, said DG Tawfiq Fawzan Alrabiah. “Modon is experiencing increased growth in demand for industrial land,” he said.
