The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has announced that construction works at nine new ambulatory healthcare clinics in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain are on schedule, with completion expected during the third quarter of 2012.

“We have witnessed rising demand at our present healthcare facilities. We have accordingly planned new facilities, with construction work going according to schedule,” said SEHA chief of facilities and construction division Ali Al Qemzi.

Once complete, the new facilities will provide premium healthcare services for more than 100,000 patients in urban areas and more than 40,000 patients in rural areas annually. Each clinic will serve more than 15,000 individuals.

“These new projects constitute an essential part of the strategic expansion plans adopted by SEHA to develop infrastructure on par with international healthcare standards. Our new clinics will offer comprehensive, high-quality health services for all the residents of Abu Dhabi,” said Al Qemzi.

Each of the nine clinics will stretch over 3,650m2 on two floors, and will house 15 medical check-up and treatment rooms, as well as radiology and other essential departments. The clinics will offer landscaped gardens and spacious parking lots for patients and visitors.

“The new ambulatory clinic design offers a high quality of essential services. We have paid close attention to design details that are environment-friendly and that exceed urban planning criteria,” said Al Qemzi.
