Omnicell Medical FM to boost hospital patient care
Solutions will allow Middle East hospitals to manage their medication
Omnicell, which provides systems for healthcare facilities to run their operations, including anesthesia workstations, dispensing cabinet systems and secure medication transportation, will display its products at the Arab Health Congress, Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre from January 24-27, 2011.
It plans to showcase its Omnicell Savvy Mobile Medication System (MMS), which transports medications to the bedside, the Anywhere RN, a web-based application which lets nurses review and select medication orders remotely from any hospital workstation and WorkflowRx 7.1, integrated software for the inpatient pharmacy.
All three solutions allow Middle East hospitals to manage medication administration from the dock to the patient bedside.
"We are excited to participate in this Congress and meet with customers looking to fully monitor medication delivery from the dock to the patient’s bedside," said Marga Ortigas-Wedekind, vice president, global marketing and product development, Omnicell.
Amir Emamifar, administrator for pharmaceutical services at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia and Omnicell system user, will attend the Arab Health Congress to talk about Current Automation Innovations in Hospital Pharmacy.
Dr Emamifar will discuss how automation solutions are being used to improve efficiency and patient safety in hospitals.
"It is exciting that these products are available to the Middle East market as the use of medication automation improves the safety of patients everywhere," he added.
