The Dubai Quality Group (DQG) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) UAE Chapter have signed a MoU in terms of joint collaboration.

The agreement was signed by DQG chairman Saleh Janeeh and IEEE UAE Chapter chairman Dr. Eesa Al-Bastaki.

The parties agreed that DQG will promote and market the Women in Engineering, Science and Technology Forum (WIESTF2011), while IEEE will promote and market the Emirates Women Award (EWA).

“The vision of the DQG is to be a hub of knowledge that is recognised internationally, and to promote business excellence and competitiveness of the business community,” said Janeeh.

Al-Bastaki explained that the IEEE focused on organising scientific and engineering conferences and lectures related to the technologies of electricity and information.

“The vision of the IEEE is to strengthen the operations and engineering fields in creating, developing, integrating and applying the knowledge of the technologies of electricity, information and science for the benefit of humanity and the professions,” he said.

WIESTF2011 will be held in Dubai during the 6th IEEE GCC Conference and Exhibition from February 19 to 22 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
