CIBSE launches sustainability toolkit

The UK-based Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) has launched a Sustainability Toolkit.

The UK-based Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) has launched a Sustainability Toolkit.

The toolkit comprises of publications Introduction to sustainability and Guide L: Sustainability, plus an online searchable database entitled Sustainability engineering, which lists good practice.

 In a second move, CIBSE has launched a carbon reduction initiative. Following its 100 Days of Carbon Clean Up Campaign in 2006, CIBSE is offering free-of-charge energy saving advice to 20 participants. The results will be used as guidance for a second ‘100 Days' campaign scheduled for 11 September to 19 December 2007.
