Qualified MEP contractors have until 10 March to submit PDQ responses
Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) is inviting prequalification applications from MEP contractors for work on the Zayed National Museum located on Saaidyat Island.
The subcontract will involve all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and specialist installations for the museum, which will occupy a built up area of 66,000m2.
Contractors who meet the criteria have been instructed to register their interest by Thursday 24th February 2011 and arrange for the collection of the PQD by Tuesday 1st March 2011.
Responses to the PQDs meanwhile, must be submitted by 4pm on Thursday 10th March 2011.
According to the tender invitation, interested companies must demonstrate successful delivery of relevant construction projects similar in size, character and complexity and they must be a major registered construction company with representation in Abu Dhabi.

Approximately ten short-listed companies are expected to tender for the work, the successful firm working under the main contractor following main contract award.
As yet no main contractor has been appointed to work on the museum, though a decision is expected in the second quarter of this year.
