New security training facility for Dubai

The new centre will cover everything from CCTV to bomb threats.

First Security Group today launched an integrated security training facility at Dubai's Gold and Diamond Park .

"With all the international companies here in Dubai, we must provide international standards. This training centre is open to all security companies, not just our own," said First Security Group's CEO, Major General Abdul Aziz Al Bannai, speaking at the opening.

The facility offers training and development to the region's private security operators and can provide 24-hour classroom tuition.

From explanations of CCTV, to lessons on how to help deal with a bomb threat, the courses cover a wide range of subjects and scenarios. Legislation now requires all security guards and supervisors to go through government-approved training.

Transguard, Shield Security and First Security Group are currently the only three companies approved by Dubai Police to train the 13,000 security professionals in the region.
