Bahrain enforces midday working ban

Bahrain's midday break rule has officially come into effect, after it was published in the Official Gazette.

Bahrain's midday break rule has officially come into effect, after it was published in the Official Gazette.

The Bahraini labour minister Majeed Al Alawi has banned outdoor work between noon and 4pm during July and August.

Companies caught violating the law will be fined between $130 and $800 for each employee working during prohibited hours.
