KONE India has won an order to install liftss in Palais Royale, one of the tallest under construction in Mumbai at Worli.

The 300m-high Palais Royale is an ultra-modern, first-of-its-kind residential building project in India promoted by Shree Ram Urban Infrastructure Limited (SRUIL). It is also India’s first pre-certified LEED Platinum rated green residential building.

KONE will provide six MiniSpace lifts that will travel at speeds of up to 7m/s, the fastest lifts in India. Another four MiniSpace lifts will move at 3.5 m/s.

“Palais Royale represents the futuristic image of the Mumbai city. We have opted only for the highest global technology solutions for the building. We chose KONE MiniSpace lifts as we believe these will provide fast, smooth, safe and comfortable vertical transportation to residents,” said SRUIL vice chairman and CEO Vikas Kasliwal.

Palais Royale has many firsts to its credit, including having the world’s deepest girders. It has also reportedly set technological benchmarks in India for design, construction, earthquake resistance, water conservation, energy efficiency, waste management, eco-friendly materials, safety and security and overall building management.

“Our consistent efforts, collaborative approach, communication transparency and strong relationships were key in helping us get the order. We have also been able to meet the highest technical requirements,” said KONE India MD Neeraj Sharma.
