El Seif in alliance with John Sisk & Son at King Saud Uni project
El Seif Engineering of Saudi Arabia has announced a strategic alliance with John Sisk & Son of Ireland on its Sabic Plastics Application Development Centre project in Riyadh. The centre forms part of the Riyadh Techno Valley (RTV) Development at King Saud University.
The announcement was made in Saudi Arabia during the Enterprise Ireland trade mission led by Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Minister Richard Bruton.
The Irish company has been working with El Seif in Saudi Arabia for almost a year. Sisk will provide a number of staff to the project, including managers and quantity surveyors, under the latest collaboration.
“Our partnership with El Seif has been highly beneficial to date, and we believe the company is well-placed to develop its interests in the Middle East," said Paul Hackett, MD of John Sisk & Son Middle East.
"With the scale of the projects currently under way in Riyadh, we see great opportunities to develop alongside a progressive company like El Seif," said Hackett.
El Seif was recently selected to provide infrastructure works for the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) on the outskirts of Riyadh.
The deal, worth $73million initially, could amount to over $93.33million if additional contracts are added. El Seif will build roads, bridge overpasses and a bridge as part of the contract.
In June last year, the company was awarded a $240million contract to build a new headquarters for the Samba Financial Group in KAFD.
