Phase one of ADNEC’s Al Ain Convention Centre development was officially opened by H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi.

The inauguration of phase one boosts the available event space at the venue in Al Ain to more than 20,000m2. This includes the brand new 6,000m2 Al Khabisi Hall 2, the 6,600m2 Al Khabisi Hall 1 (which had previously existed onsite), and an 8,125m2 outdoor event area.

HH Sheikh Tahnoon highlighted the significant impact the new facilities at the Al Ain Convention Centre would have in promoting the city of Al Ain as well as the wider eastern region of Abu Dhabi.

ADNEC officials emphasised the company’s intention to develop Al Ain Convention Centre into a landmark project that would draw an expanded range of events to Al Ain including corporate events and concerts, besides the current portfolio of exhibitions and conferences. This would enable event organisers to tap further into the commercial potential of Al Ain city, they said.

The architectural style of the new Al Khabisi Hall 2 Centre was intended to harmonise with the Al Ain's existing built environment. It features preparation and service kitchens, pre-function areas, a shaded colonnade, dancing areas, extensive landscaping with water features and 256 car parking spaces.
