Bahrain plans to double the labour fees that companies pay to bring expatriates into the country on work visas.

Bahrain plans to double the labour fees that companies pay to bring expatriates into the country on work visas.

Companies currently spend about US $509.3 (BD192) in labour fees to employ an expatriate for two years, but if proposals put to the cabinet are approved this could mean an amount of $1,167.11 would be charged from the beginning of next year.
