Wade Adams bags US $136 million Dubai Waterfront contract

Civils contractor, Wade Adams, has won the US $136 million (AED500 million) infrastructure package for Al Oud district at Dubai Waterfront.

Civils contractor, Wade Adams, has won the US $136 million (AED500 million) infrastructure package for Al Oud district at Dubai Waterfront.

The Al Oud district is spread over an area of approximately 10 million m2 and Wade Adams will be responsible for all infrastructure works.

Master developer, Nakheel, is the client and owner of the project.

Construction began this month and has a completion schedule of between 18 to 20 months.

UK-based Mouchel Parkman is the consultant.

Wade Adams, which has worked on the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Sports City, is also responsible for all infrastructure works on Kuwait-based Abyaar Real Estate's Acacia Avenues in Jumeirah. The $550 project, next to Knowledge Village, is scheduled for full occupation in the first quarter of 2009.

The company is also working on a $78 million contract on behalf of the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority for the construction of the third phase of the Dubai Bypass Road project.

Work involves the construction of a 26km road starting from Jebel Ali's Al Hibab Road up to the outskirts of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. It will be a six-lane dual highway running in both directions.

Wade Adams Group is a contracting company based in the Middle East, currently focussing on the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain. Its clients include Abu Dhabi Municipality, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, Sharjah Municipality, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Nakheel, Union Properties and Qatar Petroleum.
