Over 80% of Dubai's Scala tower sold
Al Madar Group looks to implement facilities management in residential tower before building is completed.
More than 80% of Scala tower has been sold, according to developer Al Madar group. The Qatar-based property developer is now looking to invest in facilities management.
"The FM has not been appointed as of yet. We will be looking to a specialist to provide [facilities management]," said Hassan Abu Shamat, project management director, Al Madar Group.
Located in Dubai's Business Bay area, the Scala Tower comprises 18 floors of residential units. Amenities include a health club, shopping area, closed circuit television, 24 hour security and maintenance facilities.
"A building management system (BMS) and security, particularly access control, has been incorporated during the design process. We will now implement such facilities," added Abu Shamat.
The tower will be ready by the second quarter of 2009. Al Madar plans to develop further projects in the UAE and Middle East.
"The success of Scala Tower, Al Madar's first project in the UAE, paves the way for our other iconic real estate developments that will be launched in the country," said Keith Pepperdine, sales and marketing director, Al Madar Group.
"The strategic location of the tower in the heart of Business Bay, coupled with all the modern amenities that the tower offers, have been key factors that have driven sales of the Scala Tower," added Pepperdine.
