Abu Dhabi's Dept of Transport is calling for contract bids. The DoT has ambitious master-plan for the emirate's future transport infrastructure needs.

The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi is inviting all qualified 'special' and 'first' grade contractors to submit bids for designing and building a temporary parking structure.

Tender documents can be collected from the Procurement and Contracts Division of the DoT in Abu Dhabi, upon payment of an AED2,500 non-refundable fee. In addition, unregistered bidders need to pay an extra AED500.

The last date for tender collections is Tuesday 9 August. All interested bidders are required to submit their technical and commercial proposals by Sunday 18 September.

The DoT's Surface Transport Master Plan is the culmination of the conceptual transport strategy outlined in Plan Abu Dhabi 2030: Urban Structure Framework Plan (Plan 2030). Plan 2030

The rapid rate of change in Abu Dhabi, combined with the high aspirations of the Emirates’ leadership, has guided the creation of what is billed as the world’s most ambitious transport initiative.

By the year 2030, the Surface Transport Master Plan calls for a multi-billion dirham integrated system of transport services, namely regional rail, metro rail, trams, buses, taxis, park-and-ride and highways.
