Tender for enabling works at Fort Hotel in Oman

Omran has issued a tender for the enabling works at the five-star Fort Hotel development in the Bausher Mountains near Muscat in Oman, reports Omran VP corporate affairs Abdul Wahid Al Farsi.

The current status of the project is that the masterplan has been completed, with schematic design currently in progress. The anticipated completion date of the project is Q2 2013.

“Omran intends to develop a luxury hotel at Busher Hills as part of its undertaking to create a tourism platform in Oman,” says Al Farsi.

The hotel will occupy a 12ha site located 25km south-east of Muscat International Airport and 3km from Al Khuwair, the nearest town.

The hotel will include 120 suites, six spa suites and eight luxury villas, as well as a range of high-end restaurants and spa and leisure facilities, including an outdoor amphitheatre able to seat 100 people. Its elevated location will offer spectacular views over the city of Muscat and the Arabian Sea.
