Donaldson Company, a manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, has announced that it will be opening three state-of-the-art test labs in China, India and the United States.

The company has added a new testing lab at its regional headquarters in Wuxi, China in order to support the rapid expansion of its engine products business in the region.

The lab, which opened on August 1, is capable of conducting a variety of performance tests, including high precision restriction curves, dust holding capacity, initial and overall efficiencies and water separation efficiency.

In its Gurgaon, India facility, the company has expanded its facility to include a new air intake testing lab. The new lab, also operational from August 1, allows Donaldson’s engineering teams the full capability to test air intakes and product development support to customers.

“As we broaden our footprint within developed and emerging markets, these new labs will support the rigorous testing our products must endure and give us the ability to implement critical performance tests quickly, efficiently and much closer to the point of use,” said Jay Ward, senior vice president, engine products at Donaldson Company.

Earlier in the year, Donaldson ToritR, a division of Donaldson’s Industrial Filtration Solutions business, opened a new test lab in Bloomington, Minnesota to evaluate combustible and non-combustible materials in new and existing filtration products.

The environmentally controlled lab features full suppression and isolation equipment, will allow ToritR to run full-sized tests on site.

This is intended to accelerate product development that had previously been done in the field under uncontrolled conditions.

“As regulations become more stringent and customer demands for higher efficiency filtration products continue to grow, the need for state-of the-art testing facilities becomes critical in the development of new products to meet these challenges,” said Cary Olson, director, product technology in Donaldson’s Industrial Filtration Solutions division.

“Our new Bloomington test lab is the latest step in Donaldson’s strategy to deliver innovative, high quality filtration solutions to the industries we serve,” he added.
