Tameer Holdings is the client while Al Arrab General Contracting is the main contractor for the project.

Speaking to Construction Week, Khodr Sobh, director - construction, Tameer, said: "Police are still investigating the accident and we will take necessary action after we receive the results from them."

He added that the company had not confronted the contractor about the incident as it was being dealt with directly by the police. "We are waiting for the police to finish their work and after we get the report we will take a decision over what to do," said Sobh.

According to Sobh, five Indian workers were sitting near a wall when it collapsed.

Eyewitnesses at the scene of the accident have claimed that the wall crumbled for no visible reason.
