Saudi American Glass boosts production capacity
Energy-efficient glass output hits seven million square metres a year
Saudi American Glass (SAG) has expanded its presence in the Kingdom by increasing its overall production capacity of energy-efficient glass to seven million square metres a year.
SAG is part of Glass LLC, a leading processor of architectural flat glass in the Middle East and a subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC.
SAG has also introduced Vitroglaze to the Saudi market, becoming the only provider of self-cleaning glass that uses nanotechnology to minimise maintenance costs.
As part of SAG’s growth, Glass LLC has opened two new sales offices for SAG and its sister concern, Emirates Glass, in Riyadh and Jeddah.
Glass LLC brands – Emirates Glass, Lumiglass, Saudi American Glass and Emirates Float Glass – offer a diverse range of spectrally-selective tinted glass to domestic and international markets.
Ziad Yazbeck, senior VP, sales and marketing, Glass LLC, said: “Since its inception in 1978, SAG has occupied a strategic position as the leading processor of architectural flat glass in Saudi Arabia. We have achieved high output levels through the close integration of our units under Glass LLC.
“The increase in production capacity by 400%, which has led to an increase in output by 2.5m square metres a year, will allow us to cater to a larger market base.
“Additionally, our new sales offices will deliver enhanced services to our customers and respond to their demand for high-performance glass. The launch of Vitroglaze to the Saudi market further underscores our policy to support the environment and promote green development.”
