Zamil notches up Saudi schools and prisons contracts

Air condititioning manufacturer Zamil Air Conditioners has won two contracts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?s Government to upgrade air conditioning systems in schools and prisons.

Air condititioning manufacturer Zamil Air Conditioners has won two contracts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Government to upgrade air conditioning systems in schools and prisons.

The contracts are valued at a total of US $11 million (SR40 million).

Under the first contract the firm will manufacture, supply and install 11 modular package units, 3,000 room air conditioning units and 535 mini split units in 38 prisons. The $3 million contract is scheduled to complete within ten months.

The firm’s service arm, Zamil CoolCare, will oversee the installation of the air conditioning units and support service and maintenance to the prisons on completion of the project.

The second contract, valued at around $7.6 million includes the delivery of 8,544 mini split wall-mounted units to a number of girls’ schools.

The scope of work continues with the second phase of a major government initiative aimed at expanding the school infrastructure and improving existing facilities.
