Camp life improvements
Compass launch integrated package aimed at improving life in a labour camp.
Compass CAMEA (Central Asia, Middle East and Africa) has launched an integrated facilities management service for labour camps across the Middle East.
Aptly titled Village Life, it will provide owners with management and improved services and facilities for labour camps, with the additional option of integrating recreational and leisure activities for residents.
"On behalf of our clients, we will provide a service that adds significant value to the operations of labour camps.
"We have to turn the camp into a village community," said Andy Furlong, CEO of Compass CAMEA.
According to Furlong, services can be added or removed from the package, but with integrated packages, issues within the camp can be better addressed under one management.
"Soft and hard FM is included in the bundle package. Clients will be able to pick and choose a package appropriate for their camp," said Furlong.
The integrated service aims to create increased productivity by providing residents a better quality of life. Through the service, residents will be able to participate in recreational activities, use internet facilities to communicate with their families abroad and attend culturally themed events.
"All camps will have individual accreditations, with the integration of occupational health in the service. Workers in the villages will live a better life and group productivity is beneficial to our clients, as happy workers tend not to leave," said Furlong.
The service has been launched first in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Qatar, with plans to expand in the region.
"This product is an interesting value proposition to sell to a client, from a cost point of view it's very competitive. The service is of value for clients looking to optimise their labour pool," added Furlong.
