FAMCO signs up as platinum sponsor for Oman awards
Muscat's Grand Hyatt Hotel to host Construction Week Awards Oman 2012
Al-Futtaim Auto and Machinery Group (FAMCO) has been announced as the platinum sponsor for the Construction Week Awards Oman 2012, to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Muscat tonight.
Oman will witness the first ceremony hosted by Construction Week to recognise the leading construction achievements and projects from the Sultanate of Oman, following the successful series of regional awards ceremonies introduced by the publication.
Famco is a member of the Al-Futtaim Group, one of the largest privately owned business firms in the Gulf region.
Managing Director of FAMCO, Paul Floyd said: “Oman is a very important market for us and is a key part of our wider regional expansion programme, as FAMCO moves to become a major regional player in the supply and support of machinery and equipment.”
“We sponsored the Construction Week Oman awards, because we are keen to support an initiative that recognises best practices in the construction industry in Oman. Just as we are committed to the adoption of best practices in our own business, so too, we applaud and support the best practices implemented by our peers in the industry.”
The awards will bring together contractors, consultants, government representatives, and developers to celebrate the growing construction industry in the Sultanate of Oman.
The awards will recognise achievements from the country’s leading construction companies and individuals as well as acknowledging the country’s best projects and achievements in the energy sector.
