Sealed Air’s Diversey has launched a new range of floor cleaning machines, tailored to the challenging cleaning conditions faced in the Middle East.

The Taski floor care portfolio ranges from scrubber driers and single-disc machines to dry/wet vacuums and carpet care products.

The Sealed Air group held an official product launch at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, where customers were invited to try the machines, designed to serve a range of sectors from building care, retail, hospitality, food and beverage and healthcare.

Somer Gundogdu, vice president, MENEA, Sealed Air, said: “We have built on the Taski legacy by developing a new line of machines for this region. Middle East is one of our key strategic markets for Taski growth and we are excited to deliver a winning solution that combines technology, reliability and service to our customers."

Market-research was carried out prior to development, and considered the challenges of densely populated cities, high temperatures, high traffic and dust levels.

Some of the machines’ features work specifically to tackle these problems, including a patented v-shaped squeegee enabling 99% of water pick up and a direct suction line, limiting blockages and break-downs.

Compared with conventional floor care machines, Taski machines reduce cleaning time by up to 15% and improve productivity by up to 40% by eliminating repeat cleaning, incorrect dosing and backtracking to pick up excess water.

Jon Altenberg, vice president, portfolio and marketing operations, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Turkey, commented that while Taski products have existed for over 20 years in the market, there has been an increasing need to differentiate the ranges according to the needs of different markets, hence the introduction of the Middle-East specific range.

"In this region, we know that many of our customers face unique challenges when it comes to cleaning and hygiene. [...] Effective cleaning means that floor care machines need to be built and designed from scratch to meet these unique challenges and this is what we had in mind while designing the new Taski machines,” said Altenberg.
