Telecom operators Qtel and Batelco sign second MoU
New agreement to expand cooperation between two, including FM service
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Qtel and the Bahrain Telecommunications Company to expand on is previous agreement which includes the enhancement of facility management services.
The new MoU follows the initial partnership agreement signed in August 2011 and is expected to boost service delivery for the customer base of both companies. In addition to areas such as application and content services, business solution services and carrier services, the agreement also covers facility management and mobile and facility management services.
Ahmed Al-Derbesti, chief wholesale and international officer, Qtel, said the long-standing partnership with Batelco, and the MoU opens the door to providing more quality products and services to customers in Qatar. "Qatar's telecommunications needs are growing daily, in both the consumer and business markets, and agreements such as this keep us well ahead of demand and enable us to focus on the changing needs of our customers."
Adel Daylami, Batelco general manager, enterprise division, added: "This memorandum enables both parties to provide cutting-edge, end-to-end services to local and international business based in Bahrain and Qatar.
"Business customers, in both Bahrain and Qatar, are now enjoying the numerous benefits resulting from the agreement signed last year between Batelco and Qtel and will enjoy more in the future thanks to this MoU."
