Kamstrup’s ultrasonic heat meter Multical can be used for measurement on most water-based systems.

The multi-functional thermal heating and cooling meter has a range of features including data logging, tariff control, flow and power limitation and leak surveillance.

It can be used on open and closed water systems and has been applied successfully on district cooling systems.

It is available in flanged or threaded flow sensors in sizes from 0.6-1000m3/h.

In addition to its own data, Multical records the consumption of electricity and water meters
connected via two pulse inputs, reading energy and water consumption simultaneously.

In installation with two flow meters it can carry out leak surveillance and will send an automatic alarm signal to a central control area when pre-programmed levels are met.

Multical can be read manually or by an infra-red, optical reading head connected to a handheld terminal or pc.

The energy consumption can also be read via a module mounted in the meter’s base.
