JBT Corporation has announced that its JBT AeroTech business has been awarded a $4m contract by Bahwan Engineering Group (BEC) to supply 30 JetAire pre-conditioned air units for the terminal at the new Muscat International Airport in Oman.

BEC is the largest engineering and construction conglomerate in Oman. It is currently carrying out the MEP works at the passenger terminal building, infrastructure and utilities for the new Muscat International Airport.

"We are very pleased to participate in this key expansion project to position Muscat International for future growth," said John Lee, VP and division manager, JBT AeroTech.

The order was received in the first quarter of 2012, with installation of the gate equipment expected to be completed by Q4 2013.
