Duhok airport project to begin within two months
Barzani announces imminent ground-laying of strategic infrastructure

Kurdistan’s Prime Minister, Nechirvan Barzani, has announced that the foundation stone for the new Duhok International Airport will be laid within two months.
“We want to create an organized foundation for an optimistic future,” said Barzani, addressing the issue of the current shortfall in Kurdistan’s infrastructure.
The premier’s news came in a statement also unveiling broader government investment in a range of public works including a healthcare project to build hospitals in the city, town and districts of Duhok.
The announcement also comes after Barzani’s meeting with Duhok governor and officials, at which he also discussed the construction of more schools in the Kurdistan Region.
