The Dana Group has acquired the entire plant and machinery assets of ETA Profiles LLC for an undisclosed amount, it has reported in a press release. The assets are valued at $5.50m.

This new initiative will help the profiles and cladding division of Dana Steel Processing Industry to increase its production capacities in order to cater to its increasing customer base in the MENA market.

The main product lines Dana Steel offers include various types of insulated composite profiled panels, profiled cladding sheets, wall cladding sheets, roof cladding sheets, curved cladding sheets, flashing sheets, sandwich panels, flat panels, cold store panels and secondary structural steel members such as Z & C purlins and ancillary accessories.

The plant and machinery acquired from ETA Profiles will be relocated to Dana Steel's existing plants in Al Jurf Ajman and Emirates Modern Industrial Area UAQ.

Key equipment includes a fully automatic Z & C purlin roll forming line and fully automatic slitting line capable of slitting thinner gauge prepainted aluminum and gi coils used in making cladding.

The addition of these lines will increase Dana Steel's production capabilities to more than 10,000m2 of insulated panels & cladding a day.

Dr B.S. Dana, chairman of the Dana Group, said: "Dana sees this acquisition as an important milestone, and it is confident it will catapult its growth and help it gain inroads into the booming MENA market.

"It is our constant endeavour to maintain our position as a reliable and leading supplier of various value-added steel products.

'We aim to be competitive in the market by the virtue of utilising coated coils from our own colour coating line, thus delivering to our clients high-quality products at low prices," said Dr. Dana.
