Saudi Green Building Forum partners with USGBC
The organisation is now USGBC's authorised education delivery partner
Saudi Green Building (SGB) Forum has signed a new partnership deal with the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
The deal means SGB is now one of 54 partners authorised to deliver USGBC's education programmess worldwide.
SGB forum, an initiative of HRH Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Municipalities & Rural Affairs, will provide Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) and green building workshops and training programmes for Saudi experts in Riyadh.
Faisal Alfadl, secretary-general of the SGB forum, said: "LEED workshops can be really beneficial and enlightening for those professionals who wish to maintain their credentials, require LEED support for their projects, take a LEED exam or increase their knowledge about sustainable building concepts ."
Two LEED training workshops have already been held in Riyadh and Jeddah and were attended by around 85 people.
Beth Holst, vice-president for strategic alliances and business partners at USGBC, said: "The Authorized Education Delivery Partner Network enables us to provide USGBC's innovative and valuable curriculum to a rapidly-growing global community. The SGB Forum will arm Saudi professionals with the resources they need for success."
