MEDCO have awarded a $10 million supply contract to Sutor Technology Group.

Privately-owned Chinese firm Sutor Technology Group has been awarded a contract from Qatar contractor MEDCO to supply 12,000 metric tons of MT spiral seam steel pipes.

The deal, which is estimated to be worth around $10 million, will lead to the first pipes being delivered in September, with the final shipment due before the end of 2012.

Speaking on behalf of Sutor, chairwoman and CEO Lifang Chen said: "Sutor is proud to partner with MEDCO - a leading dredging and reclamation contractor which has been involved in a number of prestigious projects in the Middle East.
