Meydan to announce 'landmark' scheme at Cityscape
Firm will also update on Meydan Heights, Meydan Business Park schemes
The Meydan Group has said it plans to unveil "a major new landmark project" at this year's Cityscape Global conference in Dubai.
The company said that it will also provide development updates on a number of existing projects including Meydan Heights (for which work has begun on 528 villas for Emirates Airlines pilots) and at Meydan Business Park.
One of its development partners, Sobha Group, is also set to unveil visuals of the Sobha City project. Last year, Sobha Group bought 8m sq ft of land off Sobha Group where it plans a series of villas, high-rise apartments, hotels, a retail complex and international schools. The project is set to be built on a plot 4km from Burj Khalifa and 15 minutes from DubaiAirport.
Meydan chairman Saeed Al Tayer said: “The Meydan Group is committed to helping create the future of Dubai through the development of our current and proposed commercial projects. Dubai offers a well-established and impressive infrastructure that attracts international interest.
"This is the foundation for our success, and for the success of the organizations that partner with the Meydan Group. We look forward to Cityscape Global 2012 to announce our newest development."
Two years ago, Meydan launched its Meydan City concept at Cityscape. The firm said much of the infrastructure at the project was already in place and it is "actively speaking to investors and developers from around the world" about the scheme.
