Global architectural practice Aedas has expanded its presence in the Middle East with the opening of a new office in Abu Dhabi.

Operating in the UAE since 2005 through its Dubai office, the firm said the new location, which it opened last month, would enable it to consolidate its position in the region and better serve regional clients.

Aedas provides a range of services including architecture, land surveying, building surveying, as well as landscape and environment.

In Abu Dhabi, the firm's work includes the Jebel Hafeet resort, the development of a resort area within the rocky, hilly, barren landscape near Oman, a project that was shortlisted for the Cityscape Architectural Review Awards last year.
