Muscat International Airport continues to proliferate infrastructure and systems subcontracts.

Turner & Townsend’s newly established Oman office has also been awarded the programme management contract to deliver operational and security systems on behalf of Ultra Electronics for the on-going development of Muscat International and Salalah airports.

Commenting on the appointment, Turner & Townsend Oman's country director, David Frizell, said: “Having recently established a permanent presence in Oman we are delighted to already be involved in these major infrastructure projects which are set to make a real difference in Oman."

Turner & Townsend has also announced its delivery of value engineering services for Associated Consulting Engineers as part of its design role delivering Muscat city’s new sewerage network - the first phase of which marks a significant stage in Haya Water’s ambitious wastewater infrastructure upgrade programme.

“Given the large-scale nature of these projects it was critical that we rely on proven practices and employ our international experience to deliver the best project management support,” he added.
