Kuwait Civil Aviation is expected to reveal further details of the $6bn expansion plan at Kuwait International Airport, reports event organiser Arabian Reach.

The airport's capacity will be expanded fromsix million passengers a year to 20 million. The expansion includes a new $3bn terminal.

An additional $3bn will be spent on widening runways, building a new control tower and establishing a cargo facility.

Fawaz A. Al-Farah, on behalf of the Kuwait Directorate of Civil Aviation, will deliver a presentation on the expansion project at the Emerging Airports Conference & Exhibition (EACE 2013). The event will take place at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai.
