The Hilton Hotel project in Old Salata, Doha is on track for completion by the end of 2013, reports KCT senior project manager Abdulaziz El-Gozali.

The project clinched the company’s in-house HSE project of the month award for November 2012, according SHEQ director Trevor Cardigan.

“What stands out at the project are the improvements that have been made in a very short space of time. This demonstrates what all KCT projects can achieve if the site management is committed,” said Cardigan.

“My thanks go to the entire project site team, as without their hard work and dedication, this achievement would not have been possible.”

The Hilton Hotel project has a total constructible area of 24,400m2. To date, 13,707m3 of concrete and 2,548t of rebar and 48,446m2 of formwork have been used on the project.

Sub-contractors include BMC (waterproofing), UEG (dewatering), ISKAN (blockwork), CCL (post-tensioned slab) and ERGA (consultant).
