CIBSE attempts to break ME market

CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) plans to hold a membership briefing in Dubai on Saturday 11 November 2006.

CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) plans to hold a membership briefing in Dubai on Saturday 11 November 2006.

The briefing is aimed at attracting new members to the international group and existing members who wish to upgrade their CIBSE membership.

David Hughes, CIBSE president will open the briefing.

There will then be a presentation on membership and the benefits of becoming a member.

CIBSE has an international membership of 17,000, one fifth of which is overseas.

It represents and provides services to the building services profession such as: lighting, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, public health systems and lifts within commercial buildings.

Typically, these account for 30 to 40% of total construction costs.

The institution covers all aspects of design, installation, maintenance and manufacturing associated with building services.
