Edara wins plaza contract

Edara has secured the project management contract for the Oman Insurance Plaza and Residential Towers in Dubai.

Edara has secured the project management contract for the Oman Insurance Plaza and Residential Towers in Dubai.

The project, to be constructed in the Mankool area of Dubai, will comprise of two 25-storey towers with a total area of more than 92,000m2.

Edara, one of the major project management companies in Dubai, has a portfolio which includes some of the biggest developments in the region.

The mixed-use Oman Insurance Plaza and Residential Towers will include residential, hotel and serviced apartments and office space.

In order to ensure that all these different sectors of development are properly covered Edara has established Fitout, a dedicated team to specifically manage the project.

Phill Edmondson, general manager, Edara, said: "We are extremely pleased to be appointed project managers for Oman Insurance Company.

"Managing prestigious projects in Dubai and the UAE is our contribution towards building and shaping the country.

"We are sure this new project will give us another opportunity to add to that and build a long and fruitful relationship with our new client".

Work is to start on The Oman Insurance Plaza and Residential Towers this month and is expected to be finished by mid-2010.

Edara, a subsidiary of Union Properties, has a portfolio which includes Index Tower in Dubai and the Emirates Bank building in Sharjah.
