Who are you and what does your role involve?

I am the manager of the Abu Dhabi-headquartered Adeeb Group, and control the complete operations of its facilities management, MEP and ELV divisions. I have been continuously exploring the various technical developments in the FM segment and have worked on contributing towards quality FM according to the various requirements in the UAE. I also hold a Masters in Mechanical Engineering.

How long have you been in the industry?

I have been in the engineering industry for the last 12 years. I have experiences in varied disciplines within that segment. In my different roles, I have provided related services with a direct involvement in managing clients’ building maintenance projects with successful retention.

1.57
Are MEP firms important for the FM sector?

Yes, I think both go hand-in-hand as FM companies can be obliged to work on the MEP maintenance requirement of the client. It is advisable to use their own staff as it helps to facilitate better co-ordination and customer retention. Most of the FM operations are based on the MEP structures and the major requirements of a building rely on its MEP. Hence by having its own MEP team, an FM firm can save on cost and time. Moreover, in-house teams have a detailed know-how of the projects, which helps them complete the job.

What is the most challenging thing about being in this industry?

With a large number of cost-effective and integrated facilities management players in the region, it has become the biggest challenge to retain existing clients and win new projects. The only way to sustain in the market is to achieve customer satisfaction.

What do you love most about your job?

Being a service-oriented personality makes me happy and blissful as our target is to satisfy the client and make them feel secure. In addition, my job keeps myself and my team diligent and busy throughout the year. Clients depend on my firm and place their trust in us, which is gratifying. I’m proud of the fact that Adeeb always provides quality services to its customers irrespective of the cost, which has led to our clients appreciating and supporting us.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Every individual is obliged to propagate whatever they have learnt throughout their life. Protecting the community and increasing awareness to adopt safe methods within the industry and in personal life is what I want to teach the younger generation.
