Carpet tiles now available with 100% recycled yarn
Interface has new colours with its eco-friendly Biosfera product range
Carpet tile manufacturer Interface is now offering its most sustainable carpet tiles made from 100% recycled yarn for a greatly reduced environmental impact.
With more than 365 colours and 20 styles, customers can now choose from new colours in the Biosfera collection, several brand new ranges as well as 100% recycled yarn versions of Interface’s best-selling products.
Steven Pratt, Middle East regional director for Interface, said, "We know that our customers want to buy sustainable products – the popularity of Biosfera proves this – and are now delighted to be able to offer them what we believe is the biggest, brightest and most stylish range of sustainable carpet tiles on the market today."
Interface created Biosfera in 2011 with 00% recycled nylon yarn, when it introduced Biosfera I in 2011. Featuring products with half the carbon footprint of a typical carpet tile, recycled materials in the backing and a minimal amount of yarn, Biosfera I reduce the firm's largest environmental impact – the extraction and use of raw materials.
Pratt added: "So, whatever our customers are looking for – whether structured, brightly coloured, patterned, random design or Microtuft products – we have the carpet tiles with 100% recycled yarn to match their needs. In fact, we have a different product for every day of the year. Buying sustainable products shouldn’t mean compromising on colour and style – and now it doesn’t have to."
